Uro-Madhu is a high-yielding F1 hybrid muskmelon variety. The fruits are golden-netted in color, weighing around 1.5–2.5 kg with a sweetness level (TSS) of 13–16%. It offers a good shelf life of 7–10 days and has low risk of damage during transportation from farm to market. Sowing time in North India is from January to March, in South India from November to February, and year-round in greenhouses. The recommended seed rate is 600–800 grams per acre. It performs best in sandy loam or loamy soils with a pH of 6.5–7.5. During sowing, use Baazigar and Euro Josh at 3–4 kg/acre, spray Euro Star for healthy shiny leaves, and apply Karishma and Dum after germination. The field should be ploughed 2–3 times, and 10–12 tons of well-decomposed manure should be added before final preparation. The crop is sown using the bed and channel method, with 6–8 feet row spacing and 1.5–2 feet between plants. Seeds should be sown 1.5–2 cm deep, placing 2 seeds per pit and retaining the healthier one later.
