यूरो वर्षा भिंडी एक उच्च उत्पादक हाइब्रिड किस्म (High Yielding Hybrid Variety) है जो अपने लंबे, कोमल, गहरे हरे और चमकदार फलों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। यह किस्म गर्मी और बरसात दोनों मौसमों में बहुत अच्छी उपज देती है। इसकी रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता अधिक है और बाजार में इसकी मांग लगातार बनी रहती है।
विशेषताएं –इस वैरायटी के पौधे मध्यम ऊंचाई वाले शाखायुक्त और मजबूत होते है फल की लम्बाई 7 से 9 सेमी सीधा और लम्बा होता है फल का रंग गहरा हरा और चमकदार होता है इसका स्वाद स्वादिष्ट और मुलायम होता है इस फसल की पहली तुड़ाई 40 से 45 दिन में होती है इसकी पैदावार लगभग 80 से 120 क्विंटल प्रति एकड़ है और येलो वेन मोज़ेक वायरस(YVMV) और लीफ कर्ल रोगों के प्रति सहनशील।
उपयुक्त भूमि – दोमट या बलुई दोमट मिट्टी सबसे उपयुक्त रहती है तथा भूमि में जल निकास अच्छा होना चाहिए इसकी भूमि का PH मान 6.0 से 7.5 उपयुक्त होता है |
जलवायु – यूरो वर्षा भिंडी गर्म और आर्द्र जलवायु में अच्छी उपज देती है इसका फसल के लिए अनुकूल तापमान 25 -35 डिग्री सेल्सियस है यूरो वर्षा भिन्डी के लिए अत्यधिक ठंड और पाला वाली परिस्थितियाँ हानिकारक हैं।
बुवाई का समय – ग्रीष्मकालीन फसल की अवधि लगभग फरवरी से अप्रैल तक है और बरसाती फसल जून से अगस्त तक है और दक्षिण भारत में इसकी अवधि अक्टूबर से दिसंबर तक संभव है |
बीज दर – 5 से 6 किलोग्राम/हेक्टेयर बीज पर्याप्त है
